Has anyone had a problem with overides to a dimension style comming back every time you reopen a drawing? If so do you know why and how to stop it. Could it have something to do with the xrefs in the drawing?
Thanks
By the sounds of things it seems like there is a routine or something bring in the overrides. Have made my own dimension toolbar to do overrides and change back because we use certain overrides a lot.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry I did not get to this sooner. Do to the nature of my job, there are some weeks where I am at a remote location with no phone/internet/dsl etc. I am using out of the box AutoCAD 2005. I wonder if the drawings that I am using that were provided to me by other trades is causing the problem. In any event, I think you are on the right track, but I do not know how they are creating their drawings. I am a long time vet. of AutoCAD, but I am very uncertain about what type of data/routines/lisp files can be packaged in a drawing file. I am going to try saving their files as dxf files and then bringing them into my drawing and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for your help.
