dimension level security

Hi,
Can any body Expalin me that in transformer how can we
implement the dimension level security.
Ex:
1 Sale executive can see his sales details only but not
others data.But his manager could see all sales executives
data those who are working under him.

You need to include user classes and then define user views accordingly.

Hi drlex,
Thx for your reply.Assume in customer dimension 100
customers are there.So that all these 100 users we have
add from userclass to powercube or is there any other way?

Sharma,
I believe that is the only logical way, yes.

If there was a logical link between user class and level in the dimension, you could probably automate the process with a macro (especially useful should you have a number of models to add these customers to) but before you ask, I don't have one I can post, sorry!

If you want to restrict the access based on Sales Manager , then create a userclass for each sales Manager.
It will then limit the customer information. I guess you don't have new sales manager daily but you might have new customers.

So if you need to have Sales Manager dimension : Sales Manager boss , next level sales manager under the responsibility of the Sale Manager Boss.
A userclass view in the Sales Manager Boss to show Sales Manager Boss area , and another one in Sales manager level to limit the scope of sales manager.
