Dimension Inconsistencies

When dimensioning a drawing done in paperspace I sometimes get dimension errors. For instance I can dimension something that is 1" and it will show up as an 1/8" or some other fraction. I can then dimension another item that is 1" and it will show up correctly as 1". If I go back to the incorrect 1/8" dimension, delete it and start the dimension from the other end it will show up correctly. I have never experienced this before. It has just recently begun and to my knowledge I haven't changed anything. I'm baffled. What would cause this problem?

Hi RSedlacek,

If the artwork was done in paperspace, it may be picking up a viewport and trying to scale it - I've seen this only once but it was a model space / paper space drawing, and the issue was a corrupt install, which corrupted the file. You may run a recover on the file and see if the problem disappears, but also check to be sure you don't have dimension overrides set - once in a blue moon they cause some unpredictable results.
