Dim out background page

I really like the way the login form works for SurveyMonkey.com and would like to do something similar with dimming out the background page. (You can see it by clicking "Member login" on surveymonkey.com)

I've looked around and couldn't see any example scripts of this, do you guys know of any?

I'm very new to asp.net, so I'm not sure if this the proper place for this, excuse me if not.

What you want is the ModalPopup control - check out:

Micro$oft provides several out of the box AJAX enabled widgets that do neat things like that. In order to use the toolkit you need to download and install it into your VS environment.
