Hello, i have a TDA 100 that is full and i need 5 more extensions. I thought of digital XDP but what i don't understand from the manual is if the 2 DPT linked by XDP can have simultaneus calls exactly like it would be if i put the DPt to another free port.
yes a 16 port digital card really has 32 exts built in to get the Extra 16 dxdp to work you must meet 2 conditions
1. the handset on your desk must have the model no 76 as the lead digits ( ie kx-t 7633
2 a lead from the DXDP port on the underside of your desk phone to the ext port of the new phone
once above conditions have been met than you have a whole new independent ext. the ext number of this is 100 above the the main phone (ie your ext no: = 101 -- new ext = 201
this can be renumbered in programming to what ever you require
if desks are side by side or back to back it works great
and you can also pick up a spare pair here and there and back feed your station cables if you had to .yes and you must watch your grand total point value
if it is exceded then you must and the MEC card
yes you can, DXDP work the same as a stand alone Extn
they are not Master/Slave it uses B channel type working in the same manner as ISDN BRI.
Just program it as though it was a physical circuit and tell your people not to move phones around without checking with some one who knows
