digital station 30 coming up in nortel mode? I think...

I have a digital station 30 not working that we just connected to system. the ipo is release 8.1. it already has 2 other exp modules connected and working.

the new module is blinking green to red. when I open manager it dosnt show up, but if I try to run an upgrade I see it. but it looks like it is set to be Nortel--- it is grey'd out and I cant check the box to run an upgrade on it. but this is the description I see- DIG ADPx30 RJ45B BST the version shows 0.0(0)???

I thought only B's could do both, can I change it back to Avaya?

Go to the highest SP for 8.1, but the 30B's are dodgy in 8.1 period.

that's what is weird, it is not a 30B, just a 30. but it shows like it is one. I want to convert it back to Avaya settings.

right click on the module in the group pane. It will show the other module settings to chose from.

thanks, I found that info, but it dosnt show there. the only place I can see it is on the list of equipment when you try to run and upgrade.

Will DTE'ing it help?

did you start the digital 30 module 1st then the control unit?

yes. power up module, then ip500. it blinks green then red off and on. the only thing that shows it is connected is when I look to upgrade box in manager, it shows as part of the list of cards and their software level. but the ds30 shows 0.0(0). and the card looks like it is set to be Nortel mode by the display showing - DIG ADPx30 RJ45B BST instead of DIG DCPx30 V2??

if its a new box then have them send you a replacement ds30, also what makes you think its set up for a nortel
