Digital signatures for my Excel Macro to run?

I'm trying to run a macro in an Excel Spreadsheet I created, but I get this error message:

"Macros in this workbook are disabled because security level is high, and the macros have not been digitally signed or verified as safe. To run the macros, you can either have them signed or change your security level."

I have changed the security level, but the message still comes up. I've looked up how to prgrammatically sign a macro, but you need a security certificate...

So I look up in the help files and it says:

"If you don't already have a digital certificate, you must obtain one. How?

You can obtain a digital certificate from a commercial certification authority, such as VeriSign, Inc., or from your internal security administrator or Information Technology (IT) professional. Or, you can create a digital signature yourself using the Selfcert.exe tool."

So I create one using the Selfcert.exe tool and install it in my spreadsheet. It still won't run.

The message that in the digital signatures in the options dialog says:

"This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store."

What a headache!

Soooo... what do I have to do to get my certificate in the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities store"? (Pay money, I would suppose)

That's before you had vindictive little buggers who wrote macro viruses!
