Hello,

I have a customer with Option 11C Rls 4.5...the system is with 1+4 cabinets....Some of the phones in the premises get disabled automatically inspite of being connected.

When i run the LD 32 with idu..i cannot see the details of the phone....i tried changing ssc,s/w daughterboard,,fiber d/b,dgtl cards..database freshly installed it..with latest patches...

but it still doesn't resolve the issue.

Please help...

Is it the same phones or phones on the same cables, or area of the facility? In other words, is it environmental? What type of business?

Is there something common about those phones? - all the same release?

What's in DROL? Do they only disable during Midnights? If you take out 30 from DROL, does the problem go away?

check you switch ground.. check for patches... trash or wet cable can cause that as well as green mod jacks..

if you remove 30, put it back post test... if those sets have a problem (errors) and they are forced to stay up, your switch will ini when the ram fills..

if they are the same sets, could be bad ports.. cleaning staff?

Hi,

I will try removing ld 20 from th DROl...but just for your information....the phones get disabled even during business hours.

the system is with latest patches..i will also try changin the amphenol cables...but the phones are spread across...

by the way what is green mod jacks?

Thanks for your replies guys...

Do the same phones disable over and over or is it random daily? Hard to believe it could be something random unless maybe a grounding issue like JP suggested.

Stupid question - Are your DLC Amphenols screwed in tightly at the cab end to frame, it can happen if you screw the top too tightly and the bottom not as tight

Cheers!!

Green " jack comes from mops with too much cleaning liquid. I had wax build up prevent the base cord from being removed from the basebord jack. Also I had jacks on an outside wall facing a river have all the pin's bright green with black corroded base cords. Also check the cross connects and I had some digital phones on old feeder cable that's over 40 years old that won't support digital due to no twist.

Hello Folks,

Yesterday i tried changing the fiber d/b (for the 2nd and 4th expansion cab),,,which were behaving as mentioned in my first thread...

After changing the board some of the cards in 2nd cabinet didnot comeup at all..even if i enable/disable the the cards are not responding..sometimes the cards are coming up and again disabling....one more observation is the cards respond to my commands in ld 32 very slowly....

I have collected stuff which might interest you guys...pls find below.............

hi folks,

every day the extns get disabled..even some of the extns dont come up on physically when i enable them.. on the software the unit status shows as idle but there is nothing on the physical phone..i even punched the extensions directly onto the system mdf.but no luck...

one more question...i have one PRi2 card used as a tie link for connecting to a branch office....and it gives me a lot of dta203 slip errors...we are trying to resolve this slip with the help of telco..

but my question is...does the slip errors effect the system database..and affects the call register values???

if so kindly also help me in getting the patches for the same...

Thanks once again.
