Hello..
i'm new with SIP services, we have plan to subscribe for SIP trunk.
Can we use any digital phones (KX-DT521) to use SIP trunk for inbound/outbound call?
Or we will need SIP phones + SIP Ext license? [ponder]

Out of curiosity, how about SIP phones use legacy analog CO? Will this be possible?

SIP Trunk -> Panasonic PBX -> Digital Extension
You require an IP Trunk license for this, also a DSP card.
SIP phones/extensions are totally different these are usually 3rd party handsets such as Yealinks, Polycoms etc although Panasonic also have some too

Your other scenario will also be okay

SIP Phone -> Network Switch -> Panasonic PBX -> Analogue Trunk

Hi again,
I now understand SIP trunk. Are there any features to connect end to end PBX with SIP-GW?
What do i need in terms of hardware/AK?
The objective is to have both pbx connected and able to call using ext. number.

Or is it IP-GW that im referring to? [ponder]

i can see 'SIP over TCP/IP' in feature manual. Can't find any more info on this.
Mind to share?

You need ipgateway card on each side and ip trunk license that in licensing you tell the systems that 1-2 of the license are to be used as gateway

Hi obt,
I have setup IPGW before using DN2IP entry over VPN and with the same PBX & card.

Now have NS500 on our end and the other end is different make&model PBX.
Can this be achievable using IPGW? If yes, i assume configuration will be similar? at least on the NS500 end.
On NS500, I believe we will just need DSP card + IP trunk license / and not ipgateway card?

I have used ipgw cards between a non panasonic system.

If you use sip trunks you will have to have sip extensions going back for them to break out on your system
