Trying to replace a 7420 with a 7439 handset. BCM 450, Rls 6.0. Through the DMC OAM tool, I deleted the old extension, added the new SN, and it reads it as the correst extension, but the phone does not come up? Is there something I need to do in the phone
?? When I go to Subsripction Create, I get the prompt "search ID", but nothing happens.

I am having the same issue trying to subcribe 2 7449 handsets to a Nortel DMC080. There is no antenna icon on the handset and the subcription is failing.

Our supplier said that the 7449 is not compatable with the Nortel 7449, only the Avaya DMC080. Can anyone confirm/deny this ?

My issue is that the older DMC base station on the site is in a different frequency than the newer 7449 sets. I would have to replace the DMC base, or sell the customer all new sets.

I am not sure if the 7439 has the same issue, but I suspect it does as you are hitting the same wall I did.

I was unable to find any documentation or bulletins regarding this change. I'll have to source the older handsets.
