Digital Expansion v2 (30)

Hi, I have installed a Avaya Ip Office 500 v2 7.0 These are the specs of the system as follows:-

1. Control Unit Avaya Ip Office 500 v2
Slot 1 - DS 1-8 with a trunk daughterboard 4 ATM
Slot 2 - DS 1-8 with a trunk daughterboard 4 ATM
Slot 3- VCM 32

Expansion Modules:-

1 Digital Expansion v2 (30)extensions

4 Analog Extension modules (30)extensions each

2 Analog Trunk Modules (16) port each

All modules are working except the Digital Expansion Module the led indicator shows its steady green, but as soon as you install an avaya 5410, 5420 the DS 30 turns red and reboots and keeps looping like that constantly.

I however have downgrade the expansion to 5.299 and it finally works and remains working constant. However the problem I am facing now is this:-

- On the control unit the digital card works good, when you install a 5410, 5420, the phone comes up you can see the extension number and see the external number that you are dialing.

However when you plug on a 5410, 5420 on the DS 30 the phone comes up with ????????????????? on the display and when you reboot the phone it goes normal however it does not show you the extension number or a shows the external number that you are dialing. You can make calls extension main unit to expansion unit extension but does not display the extension number.

I have worked with the control unit and ds 30 alone and have gotten the ds to work, I have not connected all the other modules,I am hoping that all the modules worked along with the ds 30.

What can be causing the DS 30 to not show the extension number and not show the external number dialing out and those ?????????????

Have you used the original blue cable?
Did you try putting the module on a different expansion port?
What is the software version on the module?

5.299 is a loader for the ds30v2 that is a non operational load. You transition the module from r3 to the 5.299 loader then to r4+. You do have the module on some other version of firmware. Right?
