I'm searching for the answer to this question online because the dealer who sold us the software a couple years ago went out of business and is no longer reachable.

Our restaurant recently installed broadband DSL and we'd like to utilize this connection to process credit cards for much faster response times. We've already contacted our merchant provider and gathered all the required information (server address, port etc), but when we open up the "credit card configuration" menu from the setup program, under "properties" tab where it supposely lets you choose the Transport types, we find that the dropdown box is greyed out and won't let us choose anything other than the existing DataCap transport type. We've read the manual again and again and it never mentioned this issue. It seems this option is supposed to be user selectable and yet ours is somehow locked.

If you may provide any advice regarding this issue, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mike

Call Menusoft @703-912-3000 and they will set you up with a new dealer. The transport being greyed out could be due to your password level, but most likely there is an unposted batch or open checks with credit card verifications. Neverless, a dealer will be needed for the change.
