My friend Gail was given a digital camera by another friend. Gail immediately began taking pictures. However, it seems she needs USB to download the pictures. Huh? The only digital camera's download onto 3.5 disks.

Well, MY computer is currently down. I know I saw in Device list that it had USB with red question mark next to it. I have another computer also (an old Pentium 90). Is it possible for me to take the USB from my system and install it in the Pentium 90 so she can download her pictures?

Does your friends pc have a usb port on the back of the computer to plug the camera into? If so it may not be enabled. You would need to go into the bios setup to enable it.

USB Hub will need to be PCI based (adapter card for a PCI slot) and you will need the proper drivers for your operating system.

Newer machines make direct connections to the motherboard without need for an adapter card. Older machines require a PCI adapter card. Earlier versions of WIN95 may not work either.
