Digital 8.8 install

I am looking at a 8.8 install All digital station side recording. Nice gave me tails to install on the MDF and AMP impedeance Matchers. My question Is why does Digital siginals need to have impeaseance matchers?

because NICE use the same NATI card for different pbx interfaces, they need to be able to match the impedance of the different phones connected.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
