I have a new span (ISDN PRI) being cut today-
The PBX has a 4 digit dial plan and 'The Boss' ordered 10 digits of DNIS from PSTN-
My brain is tired-
can someone give me a quick idea to, on the incoming route, strip the first 6 digits-
Thanks

You could add an IDC table.
IDGT 2125551234 CDGT 1234

That's a lotta typing. Maybe someone else knows a better way.

A better way would be to reorder the DNIS, it is an easy change by the provider.

I agree with the above post, but if you're cutting it today and they can't do it on the fly...

Thank you for the reply-
I was hoping that I didn't have to build an entry for each DID-

course if the last 4 match your extension range then still only one entry required for each 1000 numbers

IDGT 2125551 CDGT 1

but even with an idc your ldn will have to change to 10 digits.. your switch is looking for that number of digits.. if your ldn is 4 digits the idc will only read the 2125. good to know we work for the same boss
