I had made a report in CR8 using left join. but when i tried to run report through vb6 it does not showing the group header when zero record and when I open report in CR8 its showing.

This has something to do with the "suppress when blank" property of the section. I believe that you have activated this in your VB application while you have de-activated it in regular crystal. Howard Hammerman,
