ON A REPORT (INCOME STATEMENT)I'VE SELECTED THE YEAR 2000 ON PARAMETERS BUT NEED TO COMPARE 1999 INFO, WITH THE 2000 SELECTION IT DO NOT ALLOW 1999 INFO ON ONE REPORT. IS THERE A SELECTION ON VERSION 8 OR DO I NEED A FORMULA?

If you want to compare two years of data on one report, then the selection formula cannot include just one year of data. You could consider using a subreport however. Depending on the nature and extent of the comparisons, grouping by year might be simpler.

Writing in all caps in forums is typically interpreted as the equivalent of shouting/screaming your message, and is usually reserved for extreme circumstances. Malcolm

Malcolm is right. The report needs to have 2 years of data. You could then use conditional totals to have the data appear in the correct column (1999 vs 2000).

There is a description of conditional totals for you to refer to. See the FAQ on common formulas and follow the link. They will be numbers 10 and 11 on the page. Ken Hamady
