difficulty in connecting a ms-access database

while connecting a ms-access databsae i get an error as:"unrecognised database format c:program files\microsoft visual studio\ file name"
i am having a difficulty in connecting ms-acces data base can u plz help

I'd guess it's because your trying to connect to a version 2000 or later version of access, convert your database to 97 format and you should be able to access it fine
