Perplexing, silly I know, but it's taken up a couple of hours, and I still haven't got it! No problem with this kind of thing usually.

-- I go to Import, get the menu box, specify Outlook X and go to Advanced. All seems OK. I close out to restart Eudora, but as soon as it's gone I get a message that it couldn't "write" the new addresses to memory.

System is fine. I've done lots of this with Thunderbird, which does it instantly. I know my WAD locations; in fact I've even copied one right INSIDE Eudora.

-- Also, Eudora lets me see my file listings and I can even browse and find all my Outlook X addresses right from within the Eudora program! But so far I haven't succeeded in creating a nice new Eudora address book.

I'd like to get this smooth. I want to be able to modify addresses in one mail server and easily update them in the other. Ideas???

Thanks.

Here is the error message that pops up when I close out of Eudora:

"The instruction at Ox77183accl referenced memory at 0x00000000". The memory could not be "written."
-- Click on OK to terminate the program."

I am having the exact same problem. After searching for the keywords on the web, it looks like it isn't just me. It's a pain to have to run two clients (one for addresses and one for email), and I have too many contacts (and not enough time) to hand key them all into the software, so if I can't find an answer I may well have to abandon Eudora. Hope someone can come up with something!
