Different types of Avi?

Hi there..

I have a problem and seek greater knowledge .

The problem is the following:

< I'm creating a program in Borland c++ Builder 6.0 in which I include an animation box. In the box I play various avi movies. But most of my avi movies doesn't work. when I press (...) and enter the correct adress to the movie I get a window telling &quot;Cannot open avi&quot;. What have I done wrong and is there different kinds of avi movies since some of them works (especially the ones included in windows)

I know that DivX uses &quot;*.AVI&quot; and has their own (free) decoder, look at

http://www.divx.com

for that driver. That's about expires my knowledge about it but as it's a plugin fitting into Windows You can get i take it that it is usable for You.
