Different Project Types - New Project window

When I start VI6 Enterprise, in the New Project window, I see :-

1. Visual Interdev Projects folder
2. Visual Studio Folder which contains
(a) Database Projects
(b) Distribution Units
(c) Utility Projects
(d) Visual Studio Analyser Projects

Can anyone tell me the purposes and differences of these different types of projects that can be created with VI? For e.g., what's the difference between Visual Interdev Projects and Database Projects.
