I have a Linksys Access Point and a 3Com Wireless PC card. Should I be able to make the two talk to each other? Or does the Access point and card need to be from the same manufacturer?

I had good luck making 802.11b Cisco, Symbol, and SMC devices, talk, although they did best within one vendors product line I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Pretty much interchangeable. But you will need to change the 3com to use linksys essid in setup. Ed Fair
