Hallo everybody,

I've got a big problem with my Homepage It looks really fine in Microsoft's IE (<= 5.5) but can't be viewed with Netscape 4.X ...

Anyway it looks o.k. with Netscape 6.1 (at least the main-page
I think it's perhaps a problem with all the tables inside another table ??
I already tried to differ the tables, but everytime the same. I'm absolutely confused by the fact that the content of the table can't be viewed at all.

Perhaps somebody can help me.
Thanks,
Daniel

I'm viewing it in Netscape 4.7 and it looks fine. I often experience this problem with my own web pages (in netscape only), when doing frequent re-loads. However if I exit the application and re-start, (or clear my cache) then everything is o.K. I agree that it may be having trouble with the nested tables, but it should support them. I use them all the time.

Hi daniel,

i had a look at your code and i think i can see the problem. You have a number of nesting errors in your code. Netscape is VERY particular about correct code ie. if you have one broken tag it will display nothing in a lot of cases.

The errors i noticed are:

<tr> inside <tbody> - tr should only be inside <table> tags.

table, tr and td tags closed twice or not closed.

p tags inside p tags (although you can often get away with this it is not advisable).

My advice is to go through the code and check all your nesting is in the correct order and that all your tags have been closed off in the correct order too. This should solve the problem for you.

Why does it work in IE? That is because IE is a lot more forgiving and will put together the missing pieces and often 'fix' broken code for you when it is parsed.

hope this helps
