Different load break-downs?

Any way someone would be able to give me a quick run-down on what load does what for an Option 61C?

Sort of like:

LD 1 - xxxxx
LD 2 - xxxxx
LD 10 - 500 ports
LD 11 - SL1/3904 ports

And so on.

We've got more manuals than I've ever seen in my life, and I'm not about to go looking thru all of them.

Simply put, Find the books labelled Input/Output guide (there should be 2 of them) and look through the table of contents, depending on the type of switch you have and the release of software (most current is rel 25.40) your books may come in one of a few different formats, but basically you will find two possibilities. 1)Either the first book will be all of the lower numbered loads and the second the higher, OR 2)The first book will be programming loads and the second will be loads used for maintenance. If you enter a load and get a REQ prompt, you are looking at programming database here, but if you enter a load that provides you a period ( . ) prompt, you are looking at entering commands to perform maintenence functions. A couple of notes: a) If you accidently enter LD 1, LET IT RUN! this is a Template Audit and it won't take long, stopping it in the middle may case corruption. b) ALWAYS exit LD 49 with the END command, using ***'s here can also cause corruption. c) NOTE that LD's 10,11,and 20 are linked to allow you access to all commands in each load from any single load, they are also linked to 32, but in a slightly diminished fashion, whereby you may access any LD 32 commands in 10, 11, or 20, but you cannot enter any LD 10, 11, or 20 commands while in LD 32. This really comes in handy, especially during cutovers. d)Each LD is broken into 2 sections 1st-- A prompts and responses by task section in the first half of the listing, and 2nd -- An alphabetical list of prompts in the latter half, here you will find more in depth descriptions of the possible responses to each given prompt and how they apply. These books are very ordered and will come to be your best friends if you just spend some time learning how they work. Also spend a little time reading the introductory section of each of the I/O guides. Those two books alone will provide a plethora of information. Lastly, using the same logic, learn to understand the Software Features guides, and they profit you greatly too. Here each feature is broken down into the same format, so researching a benificient feature can be fun and easy. GOOD LUCK, and HAPPY HUNTING!!!
