Different grouping based on user selection in the filters

Hello all,

I have a requirement in a report that gives me a hard time.
The requirement is to change the grouped by column in the report according to the user selection in the prompts (filters).

i.e.: If the user filters on Col A, the report groups by Col B and vice versa.

Can anybody help me out here?

You should be able to do this with a pretty complex if-then-else statement.

You'll need to populate a generic variable with Either A or B and build the Section or Break on your variable.

You should be able to check the length of what the user entered in the prompt using the userresponse function.
