I have a very complex report with various lines and subsections. The report has worked fine for at over a year, however we just recently started to get work stations which are Win XP pro instead of Win 98se. On the new stations the formating is very different and the sections (i.e. where the lines fit on the page) do not line up.

I can't really leave the report formated for either XP or 98se since my stations which are producing the reports now are about half and half.

Does anyone know how to avoid this problem?

Yuck, this could be a font issue. Have you checked that old and new OS's have the same font as defined by the report?

yes, I have checked the font's that all seems fine. I can distill reports fine (so I know that it isn't the report itself) but when the report is generated to the main printer is when the issue arises.

I think it might have something to do with the printer drivers (ie two different versions). What I am sorta wondering is if there is a way to determine which OS is running and go to one of two reports based upon the OS? (just a thought)
