I have two print forms, one called 1428 and the other 1429.

The 1428 is the first page only. So if there are 20 pages, only the first should print as a 1428.

The remaining 19 pages need to be in the 1429 format.

How can this be done? Here is the trick, the recordset (detail) begins on the forst page, so I can't make separate reports.

Each print report has its own header and footer, same detail in between.

Thanks. Sean.

Hi
What is the difference between the two? Can you explain a little more?

These are government property forms. So the 1428 is basically Page 1 and 1429 is the "Continued" sheet that contnues until you are done.

Each form has different Headers and footers.

But the detail info for each is the same. The recordset would begin showing up on the first page (only 9 records), then continue onto the next report, the 1429.

I can base 1428 on a Top 9 query, and the 1429 on a Not In (Top 9 query) query, but I was hoping for a way to combine two different reports into one.

They have identical data contained, just different lines and formatting.

Thanks. Sean.

Sorry, all I can think of is embedding the 1428 in the report header, but it is not really an answer and probably what you already have. [sadeyes]

I would think you could have one report where the format event looks at the page and plugs in the 1428 header and footer if it's page 1 and plugs in the 1429 header and footer if it's not page one.

If the formatting of labels and textboxes is different then using the controls' visble properties would make the most sense.

If the report can be based on one query, we can force a new page after record 9 if that's required as well.

The question is, are these the only diferences between the two?
