Hi,I have a 3300Mxe version MCD4.1 with 2 embedded digital link. My country selection is NA.

I would like to use the Mxe as gateway.
Connecting a T1 to PSTN and E1 to another phone system. However, that phone system is only support alaw and my ISDN Trunk should be in ulaw. In my understanding, it should be depending on the country selection.

Is it possible to configure two links, one is T1 in ulaw and one is E1 in alaw? Which parameters should be regarding to this?

Thanks for the help in advanced!

Kelvin

Yes this is entirely possible as you will connect to the other system as an E1 qsig link you can then set what protocol you use ETSi or ISO I suspect as you are in NA it will be ISO variant
E1 in NA or T1 in Europe must have Voice Encoding set to "ADI" in the digital link descriptor.
If you get a bad (noisy call) then you may also have to change For T1 in NA and E1 in Europe accept the default "Nil" for Voice Encoding. However, if you experience noise on the trunks, set Voice Encoding to "Invert"
