I have two users that are reading the same client DVD. One user is using a Liteon DVD-ROM LTD163, the other is using s Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616T. The Samsung user will insert the DVD and read 5 folders. The Liteon users inserts the SAME DVD and reads 2 folders. The folders which the Liteon doesn't show are in the format XXXX_XXX. Additionally, within the folders that it does show, there are several files it doesn't show either. Both computers have the "show all files and folders" options checked and both are running W2K. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Jason

Is that an actual underscore character between the groups of X's, or is that a space?

If you open up a command prompt window on each machine, do you see a difference when you run the DIR command with the /AD /Q switches (AD=directories, Q=owner) or the /AD /X switches (X= 8.3 filenames)?

Any difference between listings using the ATTRIB command?
