AU
Our AD domain is xyz.com.au
our incoming e-mail is abc.com.au so everyones default SMTP is xxxx@abc.com.au and our web site lives externally as
I am trying to setup Communicator to run with abc.com.au becasue the integration is there for Sharepoint and outlook etc. Our sharepoint recognises users logged in as xxx@abc.com.au but does not recognise users logged in as xxx.xyz.com.au

However I can only get communicator 2007 to work with xyz.com.au.

I get server temorarily unavailable or certificate errors when I try the abc.com.au domain.

I suppose the first question is can this work and the second is should I change the Sharepoint to try and work with xyz.com.au addresses.

Any pointers would be gratefully recieved.

I have figured it out, you can change the sip address of the users in Sharepoint, which I suppose was the answer to the second of my questions.

Having managed to walk then given this is an SBS 2003 server what is the best practice to put up edge and enable federation please as I have no other servers.

Microsoft does not support OCS (any role/server) on SBS 2003. Read the edge server deploment document.

It is what it is!!
