Hey all.

I have a situation in which I have a group of users who are sending confirmation emails from their domain exchange accounts to customers and are worried about displaying their first and last names on the confirmation emails. The naming convention on our Exchange server is john.doe@domain.com

What we would like to be able to do is send emails internally with the SMTP convention of john.doe@domain.com , but for any emails leaving our domain, we would like it to show up as sending from john.d@domain.com.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

S.

You can't really change it except for when you're sending as someone else (changing the FROM field in a new email message). This requires access to the other mailbox.

Someone here mentioned before that you could theoretically set up another profile that uses POP3 and configure it for the other address.
