Hi,

I am quite confused with this sql server edition.
There are Developer, Standard and Enterprise Edition.
What is exactly the difference between them?
Thanks!

Regards,
weihann.

hello whloo,

Enterprise Edition offers highest performace and availability and extra features including

log shipping
cluster servers
Faderated Servers
Indexed views

Developer Version is just for testing almost all features
are present in developer version but its not licensed for
production environment.

standerd version is without these features.

Small environments are best suited for standered version
where as enviornmnets where high availability (failover) is needed then the best shot is ofcoure Enterprise Edition.

Bye
