Hi,

Some products say they are Wireless Router, while others are Wireless APs. What product should I choose?

My situation is: I am now using an ADSL modem(1.5M/60k), a router, a PC and a laptop to connect to the Internet. I want to setup a wireless connection for my laptop. Is it okay to buy any 802.11b Router/AP with PCMCIA card?

Thanks in advance!

Except in the instance where you want to use point-to-point bridging using Access Points (and you do not) the best choice is usually the wireless router. By disabling DHCP and connecting from its uplink port to your existing router you now have an Access Point; you also have a fallback router if your original develops problems.
