I've been looking out for contract work for Informatica and have some experience on version 7. I've seen some jobs that specifically mention v6 and am wondering how much different the two are? Is my v7 experience pretty much completely backwards applicable to 6?

Differences between PCenter v6 & 7

The GUI of the tools is a difference and version 7 has a lot of enhancements over version 6. So, completely backwards is not the case, but with some adaption from your side you should be okay. The jobs that specifically mention version 6 may be differentiating from the old version 5, possibly not being aware that version 7 is there anyway.
