Greetings all,

I am trying to understand if there are any differences in functionality between the 32 bit and 64 bit variants of MSCS.

Of course, 64 bit allows for all the obvious benefits of programs written to function on that processor. What I really want to know is, what functionality differs and would drive an implementation decision towards 32 bit or 64 bit? Are there some features that are only offered on 64 vs 32?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Cheers

There are no features differences between Windows 32bit and Windows 64bit. The main differences that you will see is the ability to nativily use above 4 Gigs of RAM without needing to use the PAE and 3GB switches and the ability to use more CPUs.
