Can someone explain the differences in these two licenses in simple words?

EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-NET vs EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-USR

Thank you

EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-USR is your ISDN30 (PRI) arriving from the PSTN - public network. (TLU76)

EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-NET is where the MD110 acts a a public switch e.g. towards a fax server. Or a voice / IVR application - server.
Could also be "another" PBX.

Hi Doktor,

Thank you for your information.
Can you please describe a little bit deeper what "acts a a public switch" means?

I have only USR license type but have successfully connected with GSM gateways over BRI and PRI.

Normally the MD110 is slave and the PSTN is Master for signalling on the public lines. For this you need the ISDN-User. But if for example a FAX-Server is connected, then the FAX-Servers wants to be the slave and expects that the MD110 is master. In this case we need ISDN-Net. If your scenario is working with public lines: Be lucky.

Hi lalrl

Thanks for the information.
Do someone know if dialers being connected via PRI line with TSE need ISDN-Net or ISDN-user license?

automatic dialers; used mainly for outbound campaign, more sophisticated than SeC
