Hi, All!

What's the difference betweeen JavaScript and JScript? When should I use them? JScript is just another option for client side script? can some one help me....
Thanks in advance.

jscript is m$ version of javascript. there are slight syntax adjustments but nothing noticable to mind off hand. jscript is more a server side language or more so used as such _________________________________________________________

This is a Javascript question and ought to be posted in the Javascript Forum for best response.

You can find a list of non-ECMA features in JScript in the Microsoft documentation. Download it at:

Drill down to:

Windows Script Technologies | JScript | Reference | Microsoft JScript Features - Non-ECMA

Remember, the scripting language used client-side isn't Javascript, isn't JScript, but is instead ECMAScript which is the standard version of what Netscape calls Javascript. Of course IE implements the JScript superset and Netscape has the Javascript superset. I think Opera is closer to JScript than Javascript - but they all have the core ECMAScript capabilities.

There is an ECMAScript document (PDF) at:

Not sure where one might find a comprehensive Netscape or Opera document on this topic.
