Difference between SM trunks and SIP Trunks ?

Hello, is there anyoe could explain me the difference between SM SIP trunks and the "standard" SIP trunks one?

I know the SM trunks are specific for connection to the Aura SM but what is different in terms of connectivity and functionality?
