difference between iis and pws

A very very basic question of what is the difference between iis and pws. can't i run iis alone on my system. I am using windows2000, everytime i start IIS , pws is getting started automatically.

pls clear me in this concept

If u're running windoz 2k server then IIS lets you run more than one website.

PWS has a lot of limitations like amount of connections and amount of websites.

If u have windows 2k then uninstall pws and use IIS... much more powerful..
