Difference between Channel groups and TDM groups

I am converting from an adtran 3200 to a cisco 2811, I have 2 t1csu/dsu to configure, (strictly data) What is the difference between channel groups and tdm groups?

looks like tdm groups are used when crossconnecting channel groups between two cards in the router?


channel group is used when you are settign up a specific bandwidth circuit..

ive always used channel groups when setting up my piont to point circuits...
