Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this. If it's not then I apologise.
Following a recent file corruption I restored from a recent backup. What my users neglected to tell me was that while the file was in use (before the corruption) some of the functionality had "disappeared".
Until I could restore from the backup the users found an older copy of the app and used that instead.
What they've discovered is that this older app does the "missing functionality" and they would like to continue using them.
The problem is that this version of the app is so old that a lot of the updates are not included.
Is there anyway to diff the two apps and assess the differences in the code? Or would it be a case of going through each item line by line and figuring out if it is safe to upload?
I would like to give them this functionality back and also make sure that all of their reports, queries and forms are up to date.
The apps are written in Access 2003 and the db is a SQL server backend.
If this requires a 3rd part utility can you point me in the right direction?
