diff between SUN Servers and Workstations??

what is the diffrence between SUN Servers(E3000,E3500) and Workstations (Ultra-10,20,60)???
where are Sun servers and workstations used??

Is it same as windows NT Server and Windows NT workstation?

The only difference I notice is hardware because whatever the machine you are it is always the same OS (Solaris 5.6, 5.7 or 8).
