Hi all,
I would like to confgure a windows 2000 so it answers for two different Netbios names.
For example, I woul like my print server (printsrv) to be also known as server02
Already tried to had a record to DNS and even WINS but everytime I do a \\server02 it says that "a duplicate name exists on the network"
If I ping the new name as weall as the first name I'm able to reach the machines, the only problem is when I try to access the machine to see the shared resources.
On Windows NT this was a simple matter and it workd fine if we had another hostname on WINS.
Does anone knows if this is supported on Windows 2000?
