I'm using a BCM400 v4.0 System. on a PRI Trunk.

When Night Ringing is turned on, Why does the switch board (Ext2221) Keep Ringing when someone calls one of our DID (Target Line#300) ?

Target Line#300 is assigned to extention 3000 and has no voicemail. When someone is calling that Direct Line, it goes to General_Delivery mailbox after 6 rings.

How do I make it keep ringing and not ring our switchboard?

I found another program.

When night ringing is turned on: when someone is calling a direct number (DID), it goes to General Delivery Mailbox instead of that user's extension.. Why?? How do I fix that?

This will not happen if the user has their No Answer forward Set to 4 rings.

OK,

I just deleted DN#2221 From Ring Group #001 (Was default in system) and calls are going to the person's voicemail at night.

Another issue is I have Service Department DN#8000 ring 6 phones. with appear & ring. If one phone is set to Forward ALL, external callers dialing the target line will go to that persons voicemail.. wtf?

for your WTF question. the programming is following its proper method. if someone with a line ringing on their phone forwards their phone to VM anything ringing on that with the exception of answer DN and hunt group will follow the forward path.

Hunt group would probably be your solution or tell the members of that department that they should not use feature 4 but rather let the no answer condition take care of the calls.

Ok, when I assign the target line to a Hunt Group.. When nobody picks up, does that get answered by AA?

If you leave it assigned to the station you had it originally assigned to - Yes. the hunt group would not ring that phone as a hunt group call but rather as a trunk call and then would follow the station's forwarding setup.

also make sure that you don't have the trunk assigned to ANY ring group (it's defaullted to group one)
