I have a customer that has two t1's. All the channels are used for inbound and outbound service. They are setup as e&m winkstart and autoanswer. When a call comes into the fax machine, if it's busy, it rings to the operator. Can i some how make it ring busy if it is in use?

Thanks

Busy tone only works for PRI and BRI trunks.

Check your prime set settings for your trunks and target lines make sure that they are not programmed to go to the operator.

also make the target line is not assigned to the operator or anywhere else. You don't have to PRI or BRI to return a busy.

Ran into this problem on a BCM. PRI with DIDs to fax. Target line for fax had to be set to busy instead of prime to another set. After that everything was ok. Also found that most of the other DIDs went to random sets. So check each target line setting.
