I have a customer that wants me to move their system. They now have 6200-6299 DID numbers and extensions 200-299. In the new location they are having 2100-2199 DID's. Will I have to change the extension numbers or can I just point the new DID's to the extension I want them to ring to? Thanks in advance.

When you say D-I-D, you can have 4 kinds.

Two way D-I-D over T1 or Tie Line Mods, Regular D-I-D thru D-I-D mods, OR Two Way D-I-D over PRI.

With the first 3, what you get is what you have. That is, if they send you 100-199, then you have got to renumber your extensions to match.

If it is PRI, you can point them anyway you want, just about.

With regular copper DID's, couldn't you delete one digit and add a "2" to make it work with the current extension numbers?

Any type of DID whether analog/digital can be manipulated on the Magix/Legend.
In this case strip 21 and append 2....or change the dial plan which is usually the way to go.

Tell me how you can do that with T1 E&M Tie Lines sold as 2-Way D-I-D, (I am assuming what you are referring to as DIGITAL) 'cause I have yet to figure out how to do that.

you can only add/delete digits on the analog one way DIDs and under PRI. If you are using two-way DID's accross a T-1, you have to have what they are sending you.
