I have a problem with our Norstar systems. The rls in question is 6.0. and Call Pilot 150. This problem happens on three different sites, in three different states. The problem is on a incoming DID, on a PRI. The first call will go through okay. If the phone has two intercoms the third call into that DID is blocked. The recording I receive is “I’m sorry your origination has restricted this type of call, if you feel you have reached this recording in error. Please contact your customer representative. 426-30” I receive that recording in California calling Georgia. Now if I add another I/C to that phone, I can make a third call. The fourth call will receive the recording then. If I call the Auto Attn. There are no restrictions, I have made as many has seven calls at once. I believe the programming problem is in the phone it self just not sure where. All my other sites have a PRI with DID’s also. Thanks for any help in advance.

Where is the "if busy" on the Target Line set to.

Would this be forward on busy. If I go to the browser and enter capabilities, for the ext. the call forward busy = nothing. I was not sure where the "if busy" on the target lines were.

If you go into Lines and look at your Target line go into Trunk/Line data. then scroll and you'll see "If Busy". If this is set to none and like you said the phone is set to none then the system will reject the call when all options are Busy.

Thanks for your reply. I checked a few they all look the same. Example Line 163 receives number 5555. Prime set is 5555. "If busy" says to prime.
Trunk Type: Target
Line Type: Public
Received number: 5555
Distinct rings in use: Pattern 4
Distinct ring: none
If busy: To Prime
Prime Set:5555
Use Aux ringer: N

Now go to your set and set your Forward on Busy to where ever you want the call to go. Because right now you have the line set to go to prime if busy. which in your case prime is the extension number. So the call tries to go there and sees that both paths (IC) are in use. So the system does not know what to do with the call so it rejects it. If you want the people to receive a busy tone then go into lines and instead of "if busy to prime" set it for "if busy busy tone". Hope it helps

Hawks thanks for your help. They are gone for the day. No direct dial in. I will have to change it next week. Again Thanks for your help.

Hawk, I was able to get into another site. What happens is I change the "if busy on busy tone" The third call will get a busy. If I only change the forward to busy the second call will go straight to v.m. not to the second I/C key, which they would like. Maybe this is the way it is designed to do, not sure. Thanks again.

set the 'if busy' to 'prime' but change the prime to the extension number that normaly recieves the DID, then change the intercom keys to suit how many calls you would like the set to recieve. Example- 3 intercoms, 3 calls, 4th call will recieve busy tone.

You can also change IF busy to prime and make the prime set the vmail ext. This will go to voice mail not sure if it hits the mailbox but it's worth a try.
