New Install - MICS & NAM

Incoming DID calls are being picked up by the "please enter the extension you wish to dial..." message instead of the mailbox for that extension. Internal calls to the 4 digit extension go to the correct mailbox and hear the correct greeting.

My current programming is as follows:

Using X 2834 as example

Line Target line = 191
Line Type = Public
Rec'd # = 2834
If Busy:To Prime
PrimeSet = 2834
Dstnct Ring:None
Aux Ring:N

Set Ext. # = 2834
Line Assgn = 191:Ring Only
Fwd No Ans. = 2899 (Voicemail Lead)
Fwd Busy = 2899

I've done this many times before and never had this much trouble - Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

THANKS!!!

1ST QUESTION , DOES IT RING 4 TIMES THEN GET THIS MESSAGE OR DOE IT GET THE MESSAGE RIGHT WAY

As Perry stated, check your call forward/no answer rings for this extension. Also check call forward/busy. Make sure that the auto attendant is not set to answer target line 191. Also have at least 2 intercoms assigned to your phone.

Thanks so much for the responses. The AA is not set to answer target line 191 and the call forward no answer is set to 3 rings and the call forward busy is set to 2899 (the vmail lead). The calls ring 3 times and then you get the default AA message. I have not changed any of the default programming for the AA.
Thanks Again

My guess would be that you need to assign one more intercom to DN 2834. If there are no voice paths idle at the phone when it is trying to forward to voicemail, this would force the call to loop back to the AA.

Another thought. Are you using a MICS R5 with a NAM R4.0? If so, there is a patch you need to load to turn off the Redirect DN feature in the voicemail. This can be done with a floppy disk or by using the Voicemail Manager portion of the Remote Utilities package.

I will go and check the version of the MICS and the NAM.

Currently there are 3 I/C per set, including 2834.

Thanks

I am using a 4.1 NAM and a Rls 6 MICS. Has anyone everhad a problem with the "answer redirected line" prompt in the voicemail box classes of service? I am getting my RAD and Norstar manager tomorrow and I sure hope that is the problem!

Thanks

THE REDIRECT YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IS IN THE PARAMETERS OF THE MAIL

I've saw someone post before that they were able to change parameters such as COS and Redirect DN from a display phone anyone know how to do that

He stated he found it in 4.1 addendum but I dont have that DOC any one know how?
