I have connected one new Dterm phone in 2400 IPX,
system has the PRI, i want to program the DID number for this extnsion. we have 7 digit number the range starts from 4954*** to 4954***. the new extension is 692. DID and DOD should be 4954692.
can anyone help me which program i have to do?

Thanks in advance.

Build the phone in ASDT. You will need to know an available LEN number. You do not say if this is an analog phone or a multiline phone. EX:
ASDT - 692 - LEN NUMBER - TEC 3 for analog, 12 for multiline - RSC 1 - SFC 1
AKYD = key date for multilines. Look up an existing one and use it as a guide.
To list up LEN's, use LLEN. Start at 000001 and try to end at 033317. The ending number will vary with the number of PIMS and module groups you have.

Thanks Mr.Belevedere....!

1. Its a D'term Phone and i Have assigned it as TEC-12, RSC-1, SFC-1, thats all fine. but what about DID number and DOD if they call from out side 4954692 will it reach directly to 692 EXT or there is some Program to be done in System side?

And i have one more question.

2. I want to assign 2 Dterm extension to work as same extension number.

I Have configured 2 new Dterm Extensions, now i want both of them to work as Parallel. how can i do this plz anyone can suggest me?

Thanks buddy...

both phones can't have the same number and if you use the number of one as the did you will find they have times where, because the second phone has answered their number, they can't get dial tone. It is easier to create the "paralell number as a virtual and make it a line appearance on the two phones

Since the DID number and the extension number match, there is nothing else to do. When the DID is called it will land on a matching extension number. Unlike Nortel and Rolm, you cannot build two extensions with the same number. You would have to place the extension on a line key of another phone to have coverage. If that is what you want, then you should build 692 as a virtual extension, then place it on a button on as many phones as you wish. this ensures coverage and does not block use of a primary extension.
Virtuals are built in LEN's xxx240 thru xxx317. In ASDT it would look like...extension 692 - LEN xxx240 - TEC 18 (18 equates to a virtual), RSC 1 - SFC 1.
