We recently set up a DID to ring directly to a mailbox without having a phone attached. When you call the number, the vm says..The person at ext 1555 is busy and then it proceeds to play the recorded message. How do we get rid of that? We just want the greeting to play. We have an Option 11 with Meridian Mail.

Hope you can help!!

Thank you!!!

depends on the type of mail, look for the prompt in the class "notify user of busy line"

Where do I find that prompt in VM? Not sure if I have ever seen that before.

what type of mail, meridian or call pilot?

When you go into the user's mailbox:
1) Tab down to the user's class of service.
2) Then tab to the right to class of service selected for the user (either personal, general, etc) and select "more details" (I think it's the F8 function key).
3) Another screen will populate.
4) Scroll down aprox. 11 lines to the line "Notify Callers of Busy Line".
5) Change this option from "yes" to "no".

I think this is what you are looking for? I hope this helps.

you can only change persomal from that screen, other classes must be changed from the cos screen, option 8 from the main
